I hadn't seen that commercial yet. Does anyone still really believe that the photos we see in adverts are NOT touched up? I just assumed that we all took it for granted that no one looks like that w/ out the benefits of makeup, hair, lights and photoshop…Love the post..

That Dove commercial is really something. It certainly made me feel better about my makeup routine. I can tell folks that I'll look better after postproduction. haha.I'm so glad for YouTube. I never catch any of the good ads on TV, so at least I can catch up online. Let's hope they survive as part of Google.

Um, ladies. My guess is that most of you are not using Dove, advertised by the chunky gals, but instead you are using some designed suds like Estee Lauder, Clinique, etc. advertised by the bony gals with giraffe necks and perfect Photoshopped skin. If you want to stop the race to perfection, start voting with your purchases. But until then, let us guys have the Victoria Secret models on the billboards instead of the Dove gals in their granny panties. Thank you.And that "kicked in the penis" kid is freaking hilarious.

I love the Geiko lizard. I know it's sick to have a crush on him, but when he says, "Course, I'll babysit the kids for ya, you're like a bruvver to me" I just die laughing.And the ones where the "real person" is telling their story with the celebrity–or Little Richard. It's more than I can take. I laugh helplessly every time.The worst commercials are the Fitness Made Simple. OMG! I have to hide my head behind a pillow or I feel like kicking that dude in the penis.

As an ex ad girl married to a CD … here here. My husband's friend did that spot here in town. LOVE it.Sure there is a lot of crap advertising … but some of it is pretty damn good. I love when I see something like this and think … I wish I had worked on that one.

I like ads, especially cell phone ads and Target ads. But Pleeeeese GCG, can you pull some strings and get rid of those Subway commercials? Because they're killing me. And the Arby's Oven Mit guy – can you get rid of him too? (fingers crossed that you had nothing to do with those ads I just named)

Ads are for fun. And with TiVo and other recording devices, who watches them?! I don't want what everyone else has, anyway. 60% of American is obese. Over half of marriages end in divorce. Less than 1/4 of the US population has a college education. Those things are not inherently bad, but those aren't my life choices. I am not the target demographic, so I stopped paying attention to the ads since I bought those stupid Gap khakis during that Gap-dancing campaign 7 or 8 years ago. Those khakis looked like crap on me. He was injured. Injured bad. That kid is almost as cute as the Hurricane.
