Three lovely things have happened in our house so far this week.
1.) I finally found the secret ingredient to create the best chicken tortilla soup ever. Amen.
Oh yeah that’s right.
The Best Chicken Tortilla Soup Ever. Amen.
The Stuff:
1 onion
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
Key: 1 bottle of Saint Arnold Summer Pils (or the beer of your choice)
1 (10.5 oz) can condensed chicken broth
1 1/2 cups of water
1 cup of whole corn kernels cooked
1/2 cup chopped green and red peppers
1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
2 boneless chicken breast halves, cooked and cut into small pieces
Crushed tortilla chips
Sliced avocado
Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Chopped green onions
The Deal:
He picked out this Baracoli shirt at the Austin Farmer’s Market way back in June, but they didn’t have his size, so we ordered it. And we totally forgot about it. Forever later, it showed up in the mail. Fun.
3.) We found the clown noses from the Kirtsy party swag bag from last year’s BlogHer.
And we’ve been wearing them ever since.

Love the noses! Will Heron makes the best tees – I bought my niece a pink onesie with "Peligrosa" (dangerous) which made me laugh whenever she wore it. Plus, he's nice.
that t-shirt is hilarious.beer & chicken.I love to bake chicken in beer. It's sooooo yummy. So, I imagine a little beer in the soup has gotta be good.
