I know, right?!!!
Laurie Smithwick / Leap Design completely did it, and I love it so so much. In fact, I love it so much, I don’t even know what to do with it. I want to eat it up! Probably because it looks like candy. It totally reminds me of this Candy Shoppe candy shot from Such Pretty Things (above). So awesome.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I liked my site before.
It was cool. And I loved the way it was organized. And then Babble totally honored me by naming it #1 best site design. Which was waay beyond awesome.
But I consistently got feedback that it was a bit hard to navigate and hard to find the latest items…which was a fair assessment. So one day I was talking to Laurie about design, and site design, and my site design, and told her how I wanted to keep the organizational elements I’d established, but then lose some of the boxy-ness of it (so technical am I). Really, I just wanted it to look clean, and cheery…and basically, like candy.
And bam. She made it happen. Oh yes she did.
I’m so happy with it.
And I have about a million things to post now that it’s pretty.
So I’m really glad that you’re here. Look around, enjoy, and tell Laurie how much you like it.
