This weekend was so busy. So busy, in fact, I’m still reeling from the reels. But I’ll stop long enough to share one thing that happened. The best sandwich in the land was created in my kitchen. True story.
I was craving strawberries and serendipidously ran across the above photo and accompanying Southern Living recipe. Perfect. A strawberry sandwich.
Tips: Use Italian bread. Add some turkey, thin brie, fresh basil, thin sliced strawberries, and um, oh I know, fig preserves. Really. Hot press it, and you are so good to go.

Whole Foods makes a sandwich a lot like that called the Barton Springs – everything except the BERRIES! That sounds totally yum.I can't buy fig preserves. I'd just spoon it into my mouth during an episode of GOSSIP GIRL and, "poof!" It would be gone. Sigh. Now I am totally hungry.
I recently made a sandwich just like that! I've been on a kick of making sandwiches with fruit on them. I also made one with smoked turkey, granny smith apple slices, red onion and gruyere cheese that was awesome.Oh, and I totally tried your mango salsa recipe from a previous post and put it on fish tacos. My husband actually said it was his favorite thing I ever made.
A Strawberry sandwich? Sounds fabulous! I must try this! Like now! Thanks for sharing the recipe
