In Texas, we’re no strangers to Hurricanes. Hell, I had a baby in one of them. We all have our strong opinions about what to do when you have one coming at you, but all in all, when it comes storms and the drinks, we don’t play. Check it.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
1 oz light rum
1 oz dark rum
1 oz vodka
1 oz gin
1/2 oz triple sec
1 oz orange juice
1 oz pineapple juice
Juice of a 1/2 a lime
1 Tbsp simple syrup
2 Tbsp grenadine
Orange or peach slice for garnish
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice out of a lime half.
Put the rest of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
Shake.
Put in a hurricane glass or Mason jar
Garnish with fruit.
Done.
Here’s my list of ways to wait out a hurricane while you’re waiting. And drinking.
In the meantime, batten down and hang in there.
Great idea! My sis (we are Houstonians) lives in NYC. I’m eager to talk to her today about frankenstorm!
She would have loved this recipe. I think she picked up wine at the liquor store.
