Do you guys do Christmas lists? My family is demanding a Christmas registry. (So here you go, Family. And feel free to completely forgo this list. Or don’t get me anything, and just write down your favorite recipes cards. That would be fine too.) I’m not very good at these lists. In years past, I’ve done an Amazon list, or just rambled off a few things I could think of at the moment. But this year, I went ahead and put this here because it’s easy and visual. And you might need some inspiration for yourself or for others who really don’t need anything.
Nigella Lawson blue measuring cups. I’ve wanted these for years but then always forget about them.
Breakable, spatially inefficient. They’re so impractical, they make me happy.
A Cranberry Trifle Bag from ModCloth.
Also, now that I think about it…
Any dress from Mod Cloth. Or maybe just a Mod Cloth gift certificate.
Or.
A gift certificate to Warby Parker.
Because here’s what: If I’m going to need glasses, I’m going to need a lot of glasses.
Also, desk stuff. I will need a lot of that.
A pop-up pencil cup to put the new pencils.
Mini suitcases to store desk stuff.
Jonathan Adler desktop dock organizer.
And an old-school weekly organizer. I miss the act of writing it down.
An adhesive note set. In case it’s not entirely obvious, I am a nerd.
This is always on my list. Every year.
Hand cream for my purse. These are cute.
I’m obsessed with olive oil soap. No one knows why.
Don’t ask. I just need them.
What? You don’t have a compost keeper on your list? Weird.

I have a compost ball on my list and I don’t even have a garden.
love it!
Thanks for turning me on Warby Parker. I think the Modcloth dresses are lovely.
I’m with you…there’s a big shipment of personalized pencils coming in any day to give as stocking stuffers to Ry and Craig. Each pencil in the set has a value from our family manifesto embossed on it. I’ll try to post about it before gifting (Craig doesn’t read my site so I’m in the clear!).
I think everyone in my neighborhood has one of those ceramic compost things on their counter- comes with buying a house here maybe. Also, those earrings are rad. Can I borrow them? (Just kidding. You can own them first.:-)). I can not wait to see your house!

ps Now, bring us some figgy pudding!
Your list is fabulous and if your family sticks to it, they get points, too. I keep asking for something vintage, like candlesticks or a brass bowl from the antique store downtown. Instead, my family is all, “Dude. How about a Pottery Barn gift certificate?”
The measuring cups are very hearty, actually. A friend has had them for years and years, and I’ve dropped them.
I LOVE YOUR BLOG! So creative and helpful!
I went out and bought the Sugar. I.Am.Addicted. 100% Addicted. I’m not sure if I should thank you or be mad at you.
