Yesterday evening, we arrived at the Blair’s home in France. The trip came about sorta last minute, and honestly, I have no complaints. Gabrielle and I have a bunch of fun Kirtsy stuff to do, and James and Harry came along for all the France.
Let me start by saying, I’m blown away. I knew what to expect (to some degree) from Design Mom...in fact, I’ve been joking with her for months about how her blog is looking like one big elaborate photo shoot…but oh my, the photos do not do this place justice.
For starters, yes, the Blairs really are as awesome as you might imagine; and no, they have no dirty laundry.
But they do have a trampoline.
They also have an outside table that I plan to sit at until they physically pick my up in my chair and dump me out of it.
Here’s where I sat most of the evening.
With Gabby and Ben.
And June.
And Betty and June.
I haven’t seen James or Harry since we got here.
Oh wait. There’s Harry.
He’s was troubled for about 30 seconds that there isn’t a Wii on the premises.
But then he found this green balloon.
He and Oscar forgot about the lack of Wii.
We haven’t heard anything about it since.
I think they’re still out there doing this.
It’s been hours.
I think this unexpected week in France is going to work out just fine.
More tomorrow.
Bonne nuit.

VERY amazing, almost not fair, home – can’t believe she gets to live like that all the time. I can’t wait for more pics. Make sure Harry remembers he’s Texan and not a Frenchie!
How lovely that ur in France! I mean it, really, that’s lovely that ur there and I’m here. in hell, i.e. Texas. in the summer. in a drought. I know, I know you live in Texas, too. but ur not here right now. You’re in France, dammit. How lovely!
Wait! I swear that I just saw these people on House Hunters International. Am I crazy?
Emi Lee, yes and yes.
How glorious! Have a great time!
Oh Lord, when did Harry grow up so much?! Mon Dieu. Enjoy, jealous of your fun trip.
I spent a good 5 minutes trying to figure out where I’d seen Ben. Then I read the comments. Thank you, Emi Lee, for being a fellow HHI fan. That episode was one of my favorite ones. The house across from the Cathedral is my dream house, but the one they chose was beautiful.
The green balloon reminded of the film “The Red Balloon”. If you haven’t seen it, It’s about a red balloon with a life of its own who follows a little boy around the streets of Paris.
