Let's hear it for the cooks--Regardless of sex or apron size!As a man who loves to be creative in the kitchen (and I do mean cooking) for my wife, friends and the "dudes" at the Fire House; but also as a lucky guy that has a brilliant wife who loves to cook for just the two of us (and does it often even when it's not "fun") I say cooking is its own creative therapy...who doesn't love to ruminate over a roast? Thank god for the men and women, (esp moms and dads) that feed the crowd.

Nice use of the all-purpose "Le Duh". I recommend Amanda Hesser's COOKING FOR MR. LATTE. It's all about cooking, made me excruciating hungry, and inspired me to sign up for a class at Central Market (So it was a wine class. Rome wasn't built in a day.)Even extroverts like cooking. Law Boy and I cut up a precooked chicken and tossed prepackaged salad greens like professionals last weekend. So, BAM! on that.(What comment did you delete?! Was it unkind?! Risque?! I am fascinated with deleted posts.)

I LOVE "Stuffed". I bought it on impulse about a year ago and then loaned it to all my friends. And now Laura the Reader is recommending it ... I was trendier than I thought.I would like to mention that if you buy groceries at Whole Foods, it is actually cheaper to eat out, and is usually just as healthy if you choose your eatery wisely. So if you're eating at home to eat cheap, shop at the Kroger or Shoppers Food Warehouse.Laura ... please publish your watermelon soup recipe please. I've lost it.

I was always happy with the restaurant. And MY brillant husband was just as content. Now my husband has changed careers so we're saving money - eating out is WAY expensive! AND, more importantly, there's a toddler in the house and I'm starting to get into reading what goes into all that bought stuff AND now I know why my mom is right about homemade being best. So crank up the Adult Alternative digital station and get cooking! - Em
