Rock photographers often get this assignment. They are given access to shoot a performing artist for three songs (and three songs only!), with no flash. Mark Austin, an impressive rock photographer, will be showing some of his work captured in those all-to-brief moments that have shown up in SPIN, Paste, Village Voice, The Houston Chronicle, Houston Press, Rolling Stone, People, DRUM, US Weekly, and The Guardian (UK).
This exhibit will include more than 40 images from his work – most of which will be available for purchase. A portion of the night’s sales will be donated to Noah’s Kitchen – a local non profit “meals on wheels”. Find out more: www.noahskitchen.org
If you are anywhere near Houston on September 29, 2010, you should really try to make it. Here’s more info.

I’ll be waiting to have a baby (I hope) but I bet this is a FABULOUS exhibit! Mark’s work is amazing!
