This weekend, during The Mighty Summit, we all wrote down five items that we wanted to accomplish over the next year. The lists were smart and the aspirations inspiring…many of these women wanting to help the people of the world in a variety of ways. But me, I just want to knit a blue hat. Just that. And lo and behold, within the hour, Danielle Henderson of Knotty Yarn dot com was teaching me the finer points of knitting. Goal 17. Done.
Also, doesn’t this photo make it look like Danielle taught me how to knit in 1971? I know, right. I love that.

Awesome! I wish I could check off more life goals in a weekend. (Next goal: life goal list.)

I learned how ti knit on Thursday! It’s fun and it makes me feel soooo productive even though what I am producing isn’t very pretty… :/
Oh Toni, what I’m creating is not very pretty either. A first-draft work in progress. It’s completely messy and full of holes. And honestly, I love that most of all. Go new knitters!

Ha- love the photo! And my aunt came to visit about 6 years ago, and she practically raised my Dad but we never get to see each other. Anyway, she showed me some of her knitting projects and I immediately signed up for classes at a local yarn shop. I’ve been hooked ever since. I still cherish some of those first hole-y scarves full of drop stitches. Good for you!
