I’m ready for a lazy, low-key weekend. No big plans. I do want to clean the house, open the doors and turn up the music. And here’s what I’m listening to.
Violens sound like 1983 to me. And I plan to listen to a lot of 1983 this weekend. Seriously. I feel like I’m in 7th grade right now. And if you can’t relate to any of this because you were born in 1988, I have nothing to say to you about that.
The Virgins sound like the 80s too. But later. Like 87. Probably you were born by then.
If I ever need energy, I put on Santigold. Seriously. Try it.
And a little Young and the Giant too. Just for happiness.
And this is my favorite song right now: Betty Wang by Hospitality. I want to invite Betty Wang over for lemonade. I’m going to do that this weekend. Or go to Harry’s basketball game and make Valentines. One of the two.
