One in August.
Did I mention that?
Not because he wasn’t ready. He was fine.
But we weren’t ready.
Now, we’re better.
Kind-of.
Because on the days he’s there, we’re wrecks.
We both call each other all day to speculate on what he’s doing…is he playing, is he snacking, is he napping? (it’s pretty much only one of the three) Is he breaking anything? Or biting anyone? Is he making friends? Is he having fun?
Basically, we hope with all our hearts that he’s really loving it!
Because we really hope he loves school.
In fact, more than almost anything else that we hope for him,
we hope that he loves learning.
And we hope he lives a life where he never ever stops.
P.S. I figured we go ahead and go non-anon since the Padrino already outted us earlier this week.

those are lovely photos and beautiful words. happy Love Thursday!
I love learning, the Hurricane, and those bee-yotchin' red kicks my boy is sporting! Can't wait to hear about the first day! I am sure the whole school will be in love with the Hurricane like the rest of us are!
Love the photos. Your son looks adorable and so do you!
I did not really out you! I didn't have names! Is Husband Con Queso fit to be tied?
Damn, and I had my photoshop work all done (see Rocks a la photoshop and me). I want to comment on your son, like how adorable he is. But there's GCQ. Out of the closet R. Kelly style. You're both dang adorable! You more on the hot side of adorable, he on the 'I bite kids at school' side of adorable….Thanks for sharing!!
Love reading about the Hurricane. Im so scared of the first day of school!
You both look wonderful! And he will do just fine. So will you.
What a happy little guy!
you both look beautiful, I am sure school will be fine… I am a little scared too, but mine is 4, so I am also READY!
I empathize. And I wish it would get easier with time. But my experience is that sending kids off to school is just damn hard… wait 'til he's in fourth grade and decides he's too grown up to have Mom walk him to the bus stop. The heart. Never. Quits. Breaking… But, yes, the learning part is very cool to sit back and watch.
GORGEOUS pics!
I don't know who is more adorable, you or the boy. OK, you. No, the boy. No, you. GAH, OK you're both equally beautiful. Nice to see you!I know how hard it is to leave your baby at school or daycare. I left my little guy at daycare for exactly one week when he was 3 months old and couldn't handle it so my mom agreed to watch him for me instead 3 days a week. Eventually, he'll have to go into daycare, but it will be hard!
He is so….stinkin'….cute! As are you! I just love Love Thursdays! Bite those biteable little cheeks for me (very, very gently, of course) please. Long live his love of school!
