Harry graduated Kindergarten 15 minutes ago, and he’s already sporting a Buzz Cut and a Weapon. God Bless Central Texas.
We have five restaurants in our little town…all within a few blocks of our house. One of them is a sno-cone stand. Each cup costs a dollar. We plan to spend a lot of time and a lot of money there this summer.
So I’m sitting here, trying to figure out how to be clever, and I just don’t have it in me this morning. I’m still spinning from the last 38 hours. So I’ll just tell you about them… You see, right now I’m living in a state of extremes. I don’t know if it’s timing, or star [...]
(Photos from Our Best Bites) And a very merry Passover to you too. I’m sad to be missing Seder dinner at Laurie Smithwick‘s house. Because, as you may remember, I’m attempting to not eat carbs this Easter, and also mostly because I’m in Texas, not North Carolina, where this Seder dinner is occurring. So I’m [...]
I spent most of the day on the phone, in meetings, and back on the phone. But somewhere in the midst of it, I ran across this photo of my yard in August. Pathetic. About a year and a half ago, so much love and attention (and money) went into making this yard beautiful. And a [...]
So here we go. I am going to attempt to capture this year in a photo a day. I said attempt. It is my intention to do this. I want to do this. And I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. If you could smell the orange blossoms and lemon [...]
40 was the New Year’s Eve of birthdays. And I’m not a fan of New Year’s Eve. There’s always a lot of random, weird, and misplaced energy flying around. It’s the drunk bat colony of days. Way too much blind expectation. And that’s how I felt about last year in general. It was fine. But [...]
Maggie and Susan and I spent the day in preparation for Mighty Summit. Susan and I arrived in SF very late last night, and Maggie had us up and doing Tracy Anderson by 8 a.m. Not kidding. And oh how you wish that I had a photo of this. Oh yes you do. But I [...]
Today I’m headed to San Francisco for the Mighty Summit. This is always a fun event…and while it’s work…I sometimes forget that. And that’s pretty awesome. Photo by Maggie Mason.
I’m training for a 5K with the Couch to 5K program. Which is awesome. But I’m already behind. I have no idea how I’m going to do this, or why I’m doing this, however I’m pressing on. I think I need new shoes. That would help.
