We did it! We made it through the first week of school. One week down, 467 to go before he graduates from High School. Give or take. In theory. Or. 5 up-at-6-am days down, 2,340 to go. I have a feeling even these dawn-of-crack mornings will go way too fast.
Okay, speaking of offices. I’m finally getting around to finding things to hang around at home. And this is the first thing I see now when I walk into my office. I’m sure it will be on the wall any day now. Just in time for my to not work at home anymore.
So it’s been one day since Harry started school. Not even one day. A half day. Because really, we’re aren’t on full-day schedule until well after Labor Day, which all just kind of makes my brain hurt. But that’s another story, and really, the important point here is that one hour into a half-day first-day-of-school, […]
Today was the first day of Kindergarten. And Harry was ready. Super ready. It was still sorta darkish when we left the house, but he was up and at ‘em and ready to go. And right before we ran out the door, I snapped a few photos to mark the occasion. Doesn’t he look so […]
This year, I decided that I’d channel my inner SuperRadDesignBloggingMormonMom and insisted that we kick off the first year of school with a theme. In the same moment, you experience A FIRST! A LAST! AN ONLY! All flavors of extreme emotion, all at the same time. And then it’s gone. The day before […]
If I had an extra $350 lying around and a 24″ waist, I would buy something from Timeless Vixen Vintage right this very second. Specifically this… And this… Of course that would be more like $650. Details.
Because of the ridiculous temperatures this summer, over the last months we’ve spent a lot of time surrounded by liquid. So this last dip in the pool before we left the beach felt, well, like the last. I guess because we dove in right before we piled in the car (we changed first, of course, […]
We’re spending the day at the beach with Maile and family and Karen and family, and honestly, there couldn’t be a better way to wrap up the summer. Chilling, and cooking, and laughing, and rum punching, and frolic-ing, andandandandalso, way too much fun all the day long. And as the lazy days of summer come […]
Photo by Karen Walrond Late this afternoon, we arrived in Port Aransas to spend the last weekend of the summer with good friends. And I have to say, this beach rental is off the hook. The kitchen alone, whoah. I actually didn’t make it down to the beach today, but I did spend some quality […]
