Today is the last day that this will be happening on the walls of my kitchen. Sorry butterflies. Your days are numbered. And the number is zero. We’re painting the kitchen today.
It’s 104 outside today. I’ve forgotten what it feels like to breathe. And after weeks of travel and fun and camping andandandandand, we’re staying inside today. And playing. There’s something fantastic about little hands…especially little hands that just found their Uncle David’s Star Wars figures from the late 70s. Awesome. It’s a good day.
This weekend, we went to the most charming birthday party we’ve ever attended. It was a camping birthday party. Complete with fun camp activities…and for each activity successfully completed, campers received badge charms. My friend Liz (talented graphic designer that she is) created one of the smartest celebrations I’ve seen. I’ll post an entire overview [...]
Yesterday, Harry finished Camp and today we’re going Camping for the first time ever. Right here on the banks of this lake. Also, today marks the 30th day in a row that we’ve had temperatures over 100. So you do the math. Camping + 105 degree weather = Love. We are idiots.
Today was Harry’s last day of summer camp. It was also his last day ever at Athena Montessori. We have absolutely loved being at this school and would highly recommend it to anyone. It’s been more than an educational experience, it’s been a blessing. We will miss it dearly. But instead of getting all emotional [...]
Photo from the Blair’s table. Notice all the bread. And oh just wait until I post the French bakery photos next week. In four hours, we will have been back from France for exactly a week. Seven days. And in the meantime, I spent four of those days in Miami South Beach. Do you hear [...]
It’s been a week, and I miss Paris. I want this print by irenesuchocki on Etsy.
Harry gives France a solid thumbs-up. We’ve been home six days, and he’s ready to go back. Mainly, he’s ready to play with Oscar Blair again.
I like this color. $99 from BlueFly.
Me: “Harry, tomorrow’s your last day of camp and your last day ever at Athena.” James: “I’m kind of emotional about that. I’m an emotional person.” Harry: “I’m an emotional person too. I’m emotional. Veeerrrrry emotional.” Me: “Really?” Harry: “Yes. Actually, what does emotional mean?”
