This is where I’d spend the night if I could spend the night on Mont St. Michel

Hotel St. Pierre.

Do it.

Mont St. Michel

July 13, 2011

Gabby and I at Mont St. Michel before we climbed up and in.

I want to live there.

For real.

Only 41 people live there now, but I think I could hang as number 42. At least for a while.

I’m not sure why I loved this place so much.

Maybe because it would be an inspirational place to create things.

Or maybe it’s because I was a monk in a past life.

My grandfather always planted pumpkins on the 4th of July. But, to me, that seemed like a weird mixture of metaphors. Because it’s hard to think about the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown when there are flags to be flown and watermelon seeds to spit. I like to enjoy my red white and blue in all it’s 104 degree glory, and wait a couple of days to think about the orange October harvest…But you know, it’s coming. So today, in the midst of our swimming pool floaty toy frenzy of sunscreen, we started looking ahead. We are planting seeds for the Fall.
