On the Road Again.

April 19, 2010

Today will be a long day full of daylong travel. Lots of miles to cover with several planes, trains, and automobiles. Literally.

But it’s worth it. West Texas has been incredible. And even though I’ve only been here two-and-a-half days, it seems like it’s been much longer…it’s been quite the trip, on a variety of levels. My photo card is completely full, and I’ll have a lot to report. Starting tomorrow.

Today, I’m on the road.

(Photo of me taken by The Bloggess yesterday, on River Road, in Big Bend, somewhere around Terlingua. I’m fairly sure.)

What a Ride!

April 15, 2010

Today marks one year since I quit my perfectly good job and embarked on an adventure into the unknown. I won’t lie, it’s been weird. Weird and wonderful.

This morning, I’m celebrating with a fellow quitter by drinking champagne on a front porch in a tiny town. Like I said, weird and wonderful.

Here’s to another year of adventure!
