I'm Shriveling Away Into Nothingness.

It seems that the average human gains seven pounds during the holiday season. Which just proves I am incredibly average.

Seven pounds. Exactly.

So to rectify this poundage, I had to do something. A handful of co-workers also wanted to do something, and their brilliant plan had something to do with this thing called fat loss for idiots. I'm not even kidding.

And because I'm such a freaking joiner (Which cliff? Now? Okay!), I couldn't not play along. So I am.

And if you pay attention to this little twitter feed to the right here, you'll notice I've been whining just a little about the weirdness I've been consuming. Last Tuesday, fruit all day. Today, all vegetables. Weird. But I have stuck to it (because I'm a rule follower like that) and have lost five pounds of the seven. In a week. So there's that.

The trick is keeping it off.

And I think I might have found a good solution for that one too.

Last month, Parent Bloggers Network asked me to review The Ultimate Tea Diet, and I was all, "so what are you saying PBN?" And then I was distracted by a shiny sugar cookie and forgot all about it.

But I read through it last week, and it's smart. And it's totally gotten me into tea.

And if you know me in real life, you know that's a big deal, since I formerly drank about five cups of coffee a day. At least. But this year, I'm going tea. Just to try it.

So I reviewed the book over at Cool Stuff today. And I ordered some peppermint patty tea. And I'm giving some away if you comment over there.

So come over for tea.

Cheers!

Just found your blog and am really ticked I didn't think of "Con Queso" first! It's a great site with interesting posts. I think I'm going to look into that tea diet...

I went to tea about a year ago and I feel amazing. (You can see how much I mention it on Twitter!) I love the taste, the experience, the everything! I have the occasional cup of coffee, but not more than one or two a week, if that. Welcome to The Tea Experience!

Between tea and yoga on a regular basis...well, I am a lot more zen than anyone, including me, ever anticipated. And we both know I am not very zen.

Yum... I love peppermint patties.

I, too, have been trying to ditch those holiday pounds.

With little success. Because I start my day with a cafe mocha and end it with ice cream.

I really need that tea.

...followed your link(s), and have the following questions:

Did you purchase the "idiot" diet *and* the calorie add on package?

After following the diet and losing the pounds are you feeling like the pounds will come back if you quit? Or that they will come back or level off?

Why go on the "tea" diet if this one is working so well?

ACK! I need to know! Congrats either way on losing the holiday pounds!

Wait...when did you start twittering?

Dammit Laura! I'm now the only person in America not twittering.

S'mee, oh dear, I'm not even sure how to answer these questions. I plunged into this lemming-like with no thoughts of my own. So. Here goes. At first I didn't purchase it, just did what a co-worker was doing. But then I felt guilty, so I purchased the cheapest version available. Not sure what it was called. It was either 9.99 or 29.99. I only remember all the nines. But it was the bare minimum. I have no idea if it will work long term. I just wanted the 7 lbs. off. My co-worker are doing it again, and so I probably will as well. Just to see what happens. It's pretty easy once you get going. And truly, it makes food not that fun, and I'm already in that mode, so I'm just going to go with it until I'm not. The whole thing is 11 days on/3 days off. Tomorrow is the 11th day, and I've lost six lbs. So I'm going to do the 3 off. And see what the difference is. And then do 11 on again and see what happens. That was a long answer. But there you have it.

Oh, yeah, and Jenny. You might be the only person not twittering. But at least you can eat muffins.

Should I do this for my wedding?! Obsessing about my weight might help me to feel like a more traditional bride...

Make sure it's not Peppermint Senna Tea or you'll be losing weight - just not the kind you want.

Thanks, for all the queso-diet-news, I am wanting weekly instalments, you know, just to see where it all goes. I am just the opposite, I wait to see the results of those around me before I get all Noni-juiced, or drunk on Pom...so you, my dear queso, you are my new research team. Don't let me down.
