The Top 10 Reasons To Go To Blogher
1. You Can Constantly Make Up New Words and People Will Simply Smile and Nod (as Long As Said New Words Start With the Letters "Blog"). So we already have blogosphere, blogiversary, and blogsnob. But I went ahead and used as many new blogikers and I could possibly blogcieve throughout the blogference. A few new faves: blogtard, blogtini, blogtastic, blogcastic, blogorrhea, and blognoying. Or my favorite: Blogshe. (It's like Blogher but different. Only blogshes know exactly how different.) I feel a wiki entry coming on.
22 Winners of sk*rt giveaways were announced today here.
3. The Card Business. I love business cards. They're like little works of art. And its the kind of art that flows like downstream lemonade at Blogher. Actually, I think the reason I had to pay extra on the way back for ginormously heavy luggage had something to do with the amount of three-inch cards I was toting.

5. Product Previews. I'll admit it, I like seeing new stuff. Especially really new stuff. A few people let me in on some of their up-and-coming super secret schemes. Excellent things. I'll let you know as soon as they open the vault.
6. Catching Up with Old Friends. I realized while I was there that I had missed my one year blogging mark, or as the locals like to call it, my blogiversary...which to me sounds like a personality disorder. But whatever. Anyway, I've been blogging for over a year. And in that almost 400 days I've met a few cool people.
7. Meeting New Friends. I met a lot of people this weekend. People who I might have heard of maybe (or maybe not). People who may or may not have run when I tried to sell them Amway. (Oh of course I'm just kidding. I didn't really have an Amway party this time. More like a Cabi slash Pampered Chef Party. Duh. I mean, these are women right? Don't all women bodyslam themselves to get their hands on overpriced rayon and spatulas? And pedometers. By the way, people, stop with the pedometer giveaways.)

Amy Sedaris photo stolen from Jenny.
I had no idea she would be there. She noticed her top immediately (of course) and started yelling at me to take a picture with her. Urgh, I so hate it when celebs beg to have my photo taken with them. So annoying. Or maybe it was other way around. I really can't remember. I do know she didn't kick me when I asked..."Where's Aaandre?"

Awesome.
Also, dude, someone stole my banner (see above). Or walked off with it. While I was in Chicago. Did you notice? So if you see a used Blog con Queso blog banner, (or if you see someone who knows how to replace banners that magically disappear), head to Lost and Found. Thanks.
Update: The banner's back and all fixed. I'm totally magic.
2. Free Stuff. So much free stuff and so little baggage to store it in. From the Goody Blog party to the Dove/Hess blogapallooza last night, my suitcase runneth over. Plus sk*rt gave away some pretty freaking cool stuff to at least 222 people.

8. The Photo Ops. I've been seriously holding out on a flickr account, but this might put me over the edge.
Lovely Liz.
Bossy and Ree9. The Celeblogty Stalking Ops. I didn't stalk nearly as much as I could have. With Amy Sedaris, Elizabeth Edwards, and that Bloganeer Woman running around, well, lets just say restraining orders could've been given out like MIPs at a frat house.

Sounds like you had a blast, and I must admit from reading all the write-ups, this year's blogher looks MUCH MUCH MUCH better than last year's. Glad you had a great time.
Sounds like a blogasm of blogodaciousness. Thanks for letting us be a part of it through your posts.
Compulsive Writer...Blogasm! Awesome!
Loved spending time with you. You are blogoliscious.
Gosh, I didnt even realize your banner was missing until you pointed it out. I will keep a look out for it! ;) Sounds like you had a blast - although my fav pic is of your cute 'lil Hurricane.
Complete with an Amy Sedaris sighting and lots of booze, sounds like a fab weekend!
Love the 'Cane's t-shirt! SO funny!
PS: Did you hear that Allison Pearson, author of I DON'T KNOW HOW SHE DOES IT, isn't even married?! Bandy that around with the blog-o-moms and let me know what they say!
Why does every picture of me have a blogawful cocktail in it? It's like a silent cry for help or something.
Great recap woman. So glad to have had my first "squeal" with you in all of your gorgesousness!

How cool about meeting Chloe AND wearing one of her cool tops.
It was great meeting you! You rock!
That was hilarious!! You are an awesome writer and terrific dresser. I coveted your outfits all weekend. Great to meet you. And your son is adorable!
O.M.G., meeting the ladies of sk*rt was the highlight of my trip. the HIGHlight. Thanks for being kind to your stalker. Tehehe
It was terffic to meet you!!
And those beautiful boys...I understand why you're happy to be home.
It was so great to meet you in person! I love looking at all the pretty cards and triggering memories too. Your cards and everything associated with your projects always look so good. I'm inspired.
I NEVER ran!
did I?
Sadly, I think I referred to you as
'skirt' for most of the weekend.
- could have been the booze...
I love your recap.
And so glad to know that we at Cool Mom Picks are both writers AND people. Because there's been confusion about such things.
Now tell me again why I didn't win anything from sk*rt?
how about blogalogue? :)
LOVED being with you this week.
re: #1
I just got this comment on my latest post:
"...I’m sk*rting this too."
Love how sk*rt has already become a verb!
Compulsive Writer, I love it! You are so freaking sk*rty. And now it's an adjective.
Why are my arms so blogtrociously LARGE?
It was wonderful to meet you. I wish we were neighbors. Seriously. Then we could arrange a marriage between CJ and the Hurricane so that then we could be related.
(I think Jenny's grandiose ideas are rubbing off on me.)
Lovely to meet you at the Real Simple party! I've been trying to get the phrase "blogpert" (blog expert) into the blogging lexicon, but I'm afraid it reminds people of the word "pervert" for some reason.
wah. I still can't see your banner.
did I already comment about how much I love you?
well. I love you.
You rock.
I love this post. What a great recap! And it was excellent, wasn't it? Great to meet you and all the rest of my blogeros (that's blog heros... in case you didn't guess).
Love your recap. It was very nice to meet you - if only briefly at the tail end of (several) cocktail parties.
