Another Thing About My Coworkers...

Here's the thing.

I just realized that I'm finding myself saying "That's all." quite a lot lately.

Quite a lot.

And so, I'm wondering...
Does that make me the devil?

I think I might be the devil.

I don't know you in real life, but I doubt you are the devil.

I loved her role in that movie, mostly because she NEVER raised her voice. I thought I would try that on my kids, be icy cold and keep my voice neutral.

It doesn't work.

Last time we had lunch you encouraged me to eat a whole slab of cheesecake by myself. (And by "encouraged" I mean that you didn't pull out mace and demand that I step away from the dessert counter.)

Yeah. You might be the devil.

I don't think you're the devil. But if you are, can we go to the beach?! I think it would be hilarious to stand between the devil and the deep blue sea!!

I crack myself up.

Somehow, dumb people make smart people feel mean for being smart. It's the universe's way of balancing itself.

NO, you are not the devil.

You are an INSPIRATION!!

I totally need to grow the big furry ones to stand up to my coworkers and say, "That's all!"

(Not that you have big furry ones LITERALLY, just figuratively. And that's a GOOD THING. Oh, great...now I sound like Martha Stewart.
