Christmastime is Here.

Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favorite time of the year

Snowflakes in the air
Carols everywhere
Olden times and ancient rhymes
Of love and dreams to share

Sleigh bells in the air
Beauty everywhere
Yuletide by the fireside
And joyful memories there

Christmas time is here
We'll be drawing near
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year
Oh, that we could always see
Such spirit through the year...

This has been a go-to-your-happy-place Public Service Announcment, brought to you by those who are also up to their eyeballs in traffic, lists, lines, scotch tape, cart banging, parking lot raging, scrooges, details, sugar, crowds, salespeople who laugh at you when you ask if they have any Nintendo Wiis, and more.

Dear Girl Con Queso-

What's the holiday queso around this time? A green and red pimiento mild cheddar? A baked brie? Something wildly expensive that you'd begrudingly share because 'tis the season?

In other -- uhm, more intelligible -- words, how are you? Sorry I've been such a stranger. With a missing computer, I am less the blogging woman I used to be. But so glad I have the opportunity tonight to read and catch up with you. And catch some all-around Queso holiday spirit!

Thinking about you - and sorry for the long missive here, I feel like I'm catching up with a long-lost friend.

It all looks so sparkly and Christmas-y! I love it! All we need is a photo of Hurricane in a Santa suit!

Merry Christmas!

Thank you. I happened upon Charlie Brown's Christmas Special and squealed like a two year old. My hubby and our teenagers sat and watched with me, laughing as we inhaled some cookies and cocoa. The best kind of Christmas memory.

Oy! I so needed that moment of Zen! Thank you!
I think I'll go and rent A Christmas Story and forget about the shopping, packing, failed diet, etc etc.
