A Window Into Our Home...

This Love Thursday, I’d like to shout out how much I love that someone around here does windows.

And tell you how much I love, that every other day, this same someone wakes up before the dawn of crack with the Hurricane.

Because on these every other mornings, he makes egg breakfasts, feeds Harry, cleans the house, scrubs down the kitchen, and gets completely ready for a day at the office before I even begin to moan myself awake.
(While on my every other morning, I mainly just sludge around the house and moan.)

I’m not saying he’s perfect (I think he might have missed one question on his SAT, maybe), but no matter what he’s doing, he goes all out.
In windows, in work, in life, in love.

And I love that the Hurricane is watching his every move.

Am very sad that you have denied me hilarious commenting with your fabulous, and all-too-true assessment of HcQ!! And you didn't even mention his wickedly powerful coding skills!

oh, I need to be studying Hebrew every second today, but I took a break to read your blog. This entry made me cry.
So beautiful. It makes a sister happy to see you so happy with such a great window-cleaning, breakfast-making baby-daddy. I'm so thankful that HcQ loves you and the 'cane so much and so well. Reading about it makes me want to do a jig.
Thanks for making me get all weepy during my study break.
peace, sister con queso

Wow, this was the best love Thursday I think I've read! Love the picture and the letter.

p.s. off topic, but you had indicated an interest in being on the mailing list for the ROFL awards but I can't find your email address anywhere. if you want to be on the distribution list, email me.

1. Your husband is a hottie. And he does windows. I am seething with jealousy.

2. Hurricane is a cutie.

3. Your walls are painted exactly the same shade as mine.

4. Let's get our husbands together so yours can rub off on mine.

Please?!

Perfection is in the eye of the beholder and I'm glad for your sake that he's cleaned up his act. Back when I met him at the methadone clinic he was a real mess - couldn't hold down a job. Or his lunch. He'd gladly kill a hobo for the change in his pockets (had to have those taquitos).

Today he's an outstanding member of society, both real and virtual (WOOT!) and I couldn't be prouder to call him my friend. Cracked corn!

Merkin, I thank God everday that he did go to the meth clinic or we would have never met there. Dreams do come true. Hugs not drugs.

YES! This is exactly what I'm getting at in my "set an example" post.

You and he are wonderful examples for the Hurricane, who will grow up understanding what give and take is all about.

Jenny, we should get our husbands together. Mainly so they can talk about their love for coding.

MGM, your "set an example" series is fantastic.

Awesome post! Plus you make me feel better for not being the only one in bed while the husband makes breakfast and cleans up before work.
